February 13, 2019 - Holiday Nursing & Rehabilitation celebrated the recent completion of a large-scale renovation of the facility, along with the hiring of Hollie Adams as their new administrator on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.

Members of the community and Shelby County Chamber of Commerce ambassadors attended the event which included a flag ceremony, tour of the facility, live music, door prizes, and barbaque.

Ambassador President, Cindy Lindsey introduced the new owners and gave them an opportunity to talk about their facility and it's recent renovation. Chris Slimmer, President and co-owner, said, "Thanks everyone for showing up today, we are excited to be doing this. Our company is called Summit LTC; we are based in Fort Worth. We bought this facility back in 2017."

He continued, "We've spent a lot of time getting in here and trying to make sure the clinicals and everything were really good, improving the quality of care, and then we ulimately said as soon as we get all of the critial pieces from the operations side updated and ready to go, we wanted to go in and put a nice investment into the building and into the community to show that we are very serious about making this a good facility, a top notch facility, and one that the community and we could be proud of so we've put a lot of time and effort to get to this point today."

A special ceremony was then held to honor their Veterans which included a new American flag installation performed by VFW Post 8904 veterans Larry Hume, Gene Hutto, and Travis Snider. When everyone entered the newly renovated facility, they were greeted by the Wall of Heroes. Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation has 18 heroes.

Hollie Adams, Administrator, spoke in appreciation of the large turnout of attendees, “I want to thank all of y’all for coming out today. We really appreciate your support. And thank you for the vendors who have given the door prizes today.”
