August 13, 2018 - I heard about Sam Malone and his cat soon after moving to San Augustine, Texas. Although we didn’t always listen to his morning radio program (Over KDET, Center, Texas), we usually heard what he talked about from someone during the day. Among his many expressions, “and that’s good” was his favorite. In his daily news programs, he’d often close by saying “And that’s good”.
With so much bad to report nowadays, we often have to say, “And that’s bad”. But we live in the world’s most favored nation. We are not a part of that half-of-the-world’s- population that goes to bed hungry every night. We are free, have food, shelter, friends and the blessings of God on us. And that’s not bad.
That’s good.
