2015 Shelby County Sheriff's Posse Queen Contestants, Schedule

June 4, 2015 - 2015 Shelby County Sheriff's Posse Queen contestants are as follows:

Princess Contestants
Gracie Leach – Gracie is the 10 year old daughter of Mark and Jennifer Leach of Shelbyville. She is a 4th grader at Shelbyville Elementary School. Gracie competes in UIL Story-telling. She is a member of the 4-H Judging team, is a competitive cheerleader on the Crusaders competitive cheer team, plays little league softball and is active in her church youth group.

Gracie is a member of the Pineywoods Youth Rodeo Association where she competes in barrels, poles and breakaway. She is also learning to head in team roping. She rides on the East Texas Equestrian Drill Team. But most of all, Gracie loves braiding her horse’s mane and tail and pleasure riding.

Gracie is sponsored by Raymond Construction.

Duchess Contestants
Sherry Sells (left) – Sherry is the 12 year old daughter of Travis and Natalie Sells of Clayton, Texas. She is in the 7th grade at Carthage Jr. High School. Sherry is in the Jr. High Band and has been selected to be on the 2015-16 Flag Line.

She is also a member of the All-Star softball team. Sherry loves riding and competing in Queen Contests. She was 1st runner-up in the Miss Tops ‘N Texas Princess pageant, 2nd runner-up in the Jasper Loins Club Princess contest and Miss Panola Cattlemen Sweetheart in 2012. She was 1st runner-up in the Tyler County Western Weekend Jr. Sweetheart in 2014 and 3rd runner-up Tops ‘N Texas 2015.

Cheyanne Barrett (left) – Cheyanne is the 12 year old daughter of Raymond and Chelene Barrett of Cleveland, Texas.

Cheyanne is a 6th grader at Tarkington Jr. High where she is in the Jr. High band, member of the Christian Beach Club, Youth Basketball, Art club, Jr. High athletics and on the AB honor roll. She is also a member of the Moss Hill Hunting club.

Cheyanne attends Volez Performance horse academy and enjoys trail riding with her family. Some of Cheyanne’s previous titles and honors include Miss Rodeo Jasper Duchess 2014 and horsemanship winner; Miss Tyler County Western Weekend Jr Sweetheart and horsemanship winner; Shelby County Sheriff’s Posse Miss Congeniality.

Queen Contestants
Morgan Leann Patton (right) – Morgan is the 17 year old daughter of Janna Patton and Gordon Wallace. She is a junior at Joshua High School in Crowley, Texas. Morgan is a 2 year member of the Joshua HS National Honor Society.

She is ranked in the top 10% of her class. She is a member of the FFA where she currently serves as secretary. She was recently elected to serve next year as President. Morgan received the academic medal from her FFA Chapter in Equine Science. She also serves as secretary of the Joshua Rodeo team. She is a varsity cheerleader.

Morgan’s rodeo and Queen activities include 1st runner-up, Photogenic and Personality in the North Texas High School Rodeo Association. She also participates in NATRAC Competitive Trail riding. Morgan competes in barrels and poles in the NTHSRA. This summer she plans to train for trick riding, steer undecorating and breakaway roping. Morgan is sponsored by Common Disposal, LLC.

Scarlett Addington (left) – Scarlett is a 21 year old junior at Lonestar College in Kingwood. Her parents are Brett and Susan Addington of Dayton. Scarlett received her Associate of Science degree and is on the President’s List at Lonestar College.

She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and a member of the Student Nurses Association. Scarlett enjoys barrel racing, showing Novice at SHOT (Stock Horse of Texas) shows, participating in rodeo queen contests and working for a horse trainer.

Amanda Chmielewski (right) – Amanda is a 21 year old sophomore at Blinn College in Bryan. She is majoring in Animal Science, Agriculture and System Management. Amanda’s parents are Kerrie Brookshire and Robert Chmielewski.

Amanda plans to transfer to Texas A&M to finish her degree. After graduation, she plans to run her own ranch where she works with troubled horses and teens. Amanda was 1st runner-up at Tyler County Western Weekend Sweetheart and Tops ‘n’Texas Jacksonville Rodeo Queen 1sr runner-up.

Amanda also aspires to be a professional barrel racer.

 

 

2013-14 SCSP Queen
Harli Joe Cowdin - Harli is the 20 year old daughter of Eugene and Inee Cowdin of Grand Cane, La. Harli was crowned Miss Rodeo Louisiana in January, 2015. She has been a busy young lady for the past 5 months. She has travelled all over Louisiana, to Florida for the PRCA National Circuit Finals in Kissimmee and will be heading to Colorado Springs and many other rodeos this summer. Harli will be competing for the Miss Rodeo America title in Las Vegas in December. We want to thank Harli for representing not only her state of Louisiana but Texas as well by serving as the Shelby County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo Queen for 2 years. We wish her the very best.

2013-14 SCSP Duchess
Emily Andrus - Emily is the 16 year old daughter of Ken and Belinda Andrus of Carthage. She will be a sophomore at Carthage High School. Emily is involved in UIL, Band and CJHS Twirler. Her past titles include 2014 Jackson Rodeo Teen, 2013 Miss Rodeo Nacogdoches Teen, 2012 Miss Rodeo Jasper Duchess, 2012 Miss Tyler County Western Weekend Jr. Sweetheart. Emily is sponsored by Coldwell Banker Ken Andrus & Associates, Inc., Carthage.

2013-14 SCSP Princess
Leiza Klein - Lieza Grace Klein is the 11 year old daughter of Justin and Tiffanne Klein. She will be a 6th grader at Shelbyville Middle School. Lieza is a very active student, participating in UIL, Student Voice, 4-H, and she is always volunteering for various school activities. She is a member of the East Texas Equestrian Drill Team. Lieza competes in speed events thru PYRA and playdays. She currently holds the title of the 2013 Miss Shelby County Sheriff Posse Rodeo Princess, the 2014 Miss Rodeo Nacogdoches Princess and the 2014 Miss Jacksonville Rodeo Princess. Lieza enjoys arts and crafts, spending time with family and friends and reading a good book! She is sponsored by JML Management, Inc.
