May 1, 2018 - Homecoming for Campti is held the third Sunday of May each year (May 20th) with a covered-dish lunch served in the Campti Methodist Church Fellowship hall. This historic old cemetery hold pioneers from the time of the Republic of Texas. The Pittman family had a large acreage in the area and part of it from a land grant. The oldest marked grave is that of Thomas Pittman from 1865.
