Center FD Fights Early Morning Fires in Two Days

February 6, 2021 - The Center Fire Department has had to fight early morning structure fires over the past two days.

According to the Center Fire Department, they responded to a house fire in the 200 block of CR 3734 early Friday, February 5, 2021.

When the firemen arrived just after 3:24am they discovered the house to be a mobile home and the fire was fully involved. Fire personnel deployed hoses and put down the fire quickly. The interior and exterior of the structure received a great deal of damage and resulted in a total loss.

The cause of the fire was undetermined.

Firemen returned to service at 7:15am.

Center Fire Department Fire personnel responed to another house fire on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the 5000 block of Highway 7 East just after 5:30am.

The house involved was also a mobile home and firemen fought the fire until after 9am.

It resulted in a total loss and a homeowner has not yet come forward.

Cause of the fire was not determined.

Fire personnel returned to service around 9am.
