Center ISD Announces Dr. Byron Miller New High School Principal

Dr. Byron Miller (Source: Humble ISD District Website)June 11, 2020 - Center Independent School District is proud to announce Dr. Byron Miller as our new Center High School Principal. Dr. Miller comes to us from Atascocita High School where he currently serves as an Assistant Principal. His background in English will help us reach our goal of improved literacy at the high school. Dr. Miller also comes to us with a history of establishing collaborative cultures, providing professional development and valuing teacher input.

Dr. Miller is native of Ruston, Louisiana, and received his Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral degrees from Lamar University. Dr. Miller has experience in working with Capturing Kids Hearts and AVID. In addition to Atascocita High School, he has served as an Assistant Principal at Nederland, Ruston and Bridge City High Schools. Dr. Miller has taught at Westbrook High School and Sabine Pass ISO. He taught English I, English II, English III, English IV, 7th and 8th grade English, Creative Writing, Journalism and Yearbook.
