April 18, 2017 - Center Independent School District is now accepting applications for the new campus, Roughrider Academy. Applications are available at the CHS front office.
Roughrider Academy is an academic school providing a flexed, self-paced curriculum for students in secondary education. The school is not a disciplinary measure but instead an avenue for students who excel in a non-traditional setting. Roughrider Academy, which will originate and locate itself on the Center High School Campus, will employ a certified faculty and team.
Roughrider Academy’s mission will provide an academic program focused on skills needed to be independent learners and critical thinkers to be work or college ready at the time of graduation. A digital platform will be used to teach and test for mastery, and Academy teachers will facilitate the program and provide direct instruction to enhance learning.
CISD's new Roughrider Academy will begin accepting enrollment applications for the 2017-2018 school year beginning Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
