May 23, 2017 - Center Nutrition was welcomed to the community by the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, business representatives and community members at their ribbon cutting event held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
Andi Foster, representing the Ambassadors, welcomed new owners Roberto and Carolina Diaz to their location on Hurst Street in Center.
Roberto Diaz described some of his history in Center leading up to the new business.
"I was a teacher for five years here in Center, and I had the best experience ever here in Center. The community is great, the people is great," said Diaz.
When he ceased being a teacher in Center, his family was challenged with the decision of returning to Mexico or remaining in Center where he and his family have received much.
"We have our kids here, we have a great community here, so let's do something for Center. If Center has given us a bunch of things, we can give it to them back a bunch of love," said Diaz.
He said their dream came to fruition to open their business in the hopes of helping other people to be healthy.
Carolina Diaz explained the location is open daily from 7am until 2pm and then 5pm until 9pm, Monday through Saturday.
"We do the fitness assessments, we do the nutrition shakes because it's got nutrition for our body to feel healthy and with more energy then we will help everything," said Carolina Diaz.
