January 21, 2024 - Center Police Department officers are investigating an apparent break-in at the Hibbett Sports located in Center at the Center Marketplace shopping center.
The shopping Center is located at Roughrider Driver and Hurst Street and officers were there on Thursday, January 18, 2024, with employees of the store, and the focus of their investigation appeared to be taking place at the back of the building.
The back door to Hibbett Sports was open with officers and employees entering and exiting the building.

Large cuts were visible in the steel structure possibly made by someone using cutting tools. There were two large openings cut into the backside of Hibbett Sports and it appeared another cut had been made into the back of Bealls Department store; however, it wasn’t apparent if entry had been made into the structure.
Investigators were seen on foot looking for any clues, and photographing the scene while patrol officers were also speaking with employees and dusting the cut areas for fingerprints.
