March 27, 2024 - The Center High School UIL Young Filmmakers made it to the semifinals this year, missing the state final round by a small margin (1 pt according to the tabulation). The top 6 advanced to the state round in Austin, Texas which put the team in 7th place in the traditional animation category. Jimmy Coffin, who is a freshman this year, wrote and produced the stop-motion animation using Lego pieces.
High school students who assisted Jimmy with voiceovers are Joshua Presa, Seth Ramirez, and Jack Wagner. Two students from the middle school who also assisted in voice acting are Kate Coffin and Trevor Shaddox.
Congratulations to Jimmy and his crew for making it to the semifinals in the 4a division UIL Film competition.
