May 17, 2017 - May Charles and Betty Irish are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a trip to a resort in East Texas. The couple was married May 27, 1967 in Huntsville, Texas.
Mrs. Irish was the former Betty Medcalf of Ada, OK and worked in Ft Smith for Comprehensive Juvenile Services, Harbor View Mercy Psychiatric Hospital and in Private Practice before retiring in 2003.
Mrs. Irish is the daughter of the late Murray Medcalf and the late Ruby Medcalf of Ada, Oklahoma.
Mr. Irish worked for 34 years as an Associate Physics Professor at Westark Jr. College - University of Arkansas at Fort Smith from 1969 to 2003.
Mr. Irish is the son of the late Elroy and Margie Irish of Center, Texas.
The couple have three children: Collin, Keith and Stacey, and three grandchildren and live in Denton, Texas.
