CHS Theatre Annual Center Stage Closes "Season of Originals" May 13

May 7, 2019 - The CHS Theatre Department closes its 2019 "Season of Originals" this Monday night May 13 with its 26th annual Centerstage, An Evening of Music and Improv. The production features all levels of the department--first, second, third, and fourth year students--singing and dancing in an original spoof of something going on in the world.

This year, they have chosen Marvel's The Avengers as their topic. They will present "Singing the End Game," a 30-minute collection of original songs that celebrate and poke fun at the epic movie series.

Afterwards, they will present highlight-selections from three of the productions from this year's calendar, including a Theatre I scene, a moment from the Area-qualifying One-Act Play, and two production numbers from The Broken Nose, the original musical presented in April and written by Mark Perkins and Keaton Watlington.

The production begins at 6:30 Monday, May 13. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students. It's appropriate for all ages.
