December 17, 2014 - The Varsity Boys Basketball team at Center High School competed with teams from the area at the Central Heights Holiday Hoopfest December 11th-13th.
They played two games up front on Thursday. The first was versus Central Heights and they came away with an 84-33 win. The second game was against White Oak and ended with another decisive victory 56 to 35. On Friday, the Riders faced Christian Heritage Ministries School and came out on top 65-43 sending them to the championship on Saturday versus Peaster.
After a very intense and close match-up, the Roughriders took the top spot 53 to 51. Octavius Evans was named tournament MVP and three other young men were named All-Tournament Players: CJ Garner, Tyrone Roland, and Kyle Parks.
