September 17, 2018 - County Road 1000 was the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash September 14, 2018.
Firt to arrive at the scene were Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Center ISD Police and ACE EMS as the driver was a student of the school.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper John Hallenbeck, at 3:59pm a silver 2009 Chevrolet passenger car driven by a 15-year-old minor driver was westbound on CR 1000. The driver was traveling too fast on the roadway when the Chevrolet traveled off the roadway to the left and rolled.
The vehicle came to rest on its top, facing north. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The driver was issued a citation for no driver's license.
