September 27, 2018 - The community welcomed Despino's Tire Service to the area during a ribbon cutting event September 14, 2018.
Speaking on behalf of the company was Randy Despino who introduced his wife, Julie, and several staff members at the opening of the event. Those staff members included Trey Burnes, Peyton Burford, Kevin Smith, and Trey Burford.
Despino highlighted the business has several locations including Alexandria, Natchitoches, Mansfield, three in Shreveport, and Center. He also stated the company has four propane locations in Louisiana.
All of the tire locations are complete retail and commercial setup, according to Despino, and 24 hour a day seven day a week service is offered. Despino also said they provide front end alignments, brakes, shocks, truck alignments, balancing, and complete mechanical work.
Something he said is important to Despino is raising money for the community and children through the Children's Miracle Network.
"We're a big sponsor, we put on a tournament every year for them on Toledo Bend," said Despino.
He said through that fundraiser $80,000 has been raised over the last three years for the organization.
Despino said the company takes pride in taking care of their customers.
"We're family owned, family operated and the customer is identified," said Despino.
Andi Foster, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador President, congratulated Despino and welcomed the business to the community and the chamber of commerce family.
