January 23, 2018 - Center PD officers, assisted by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, had a section of Nacogdoches Street in Center closed down Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
A powerline was across the roadway just near Templo Principe De Paz church due to a broken utility pole.
Officers diverted traffic at Loop 500 and State Highway 7 West, as well as Southview Circle and Nacogdoches Street, until SWEPCO was able to cut the power line and remove it from the roadway.
The roadway was re-opened at 9:30am.
