November 5, 2018 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will hold their November meeting Saturday, November 10, at 10:00 AM at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center. Following the business meeting will be a brunch to honor the beginnings of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas in 1891 and the two cousins, Betty Ballinger and Hally Bryant, who saw their dream of an organization to honor the veterans who fought for the independence of Texas to come into being. Hostesses for the brunch are Elizabeth Pate, Alease Copelin, Patricia Harrison and Maggie Casto. Join us as we reaffirm our pledge to the DRT and honor the founders of the organization.
