January 9, 2017 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet Saturday, January 14 at 10:00am at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center. Elizabeth Pate will have the program, talking about the Washington-on-the Brazos State Historical Park and the adjacent farm. Washington on the Brazos was where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed and the Republic of Texas was born.
Hostesses for the meeting will be Fay Eddins and descendants of James Truitt. We will also discuss plans and activities for the remainder of the year. Hope to see you there.
