East Texas Poultry Festival Pageant Queen's Court Welcome Party


2017 Queen’s Court

September 18, 2017 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce held a Welcome Party to introduce and welcomed the 2017 East Texas Poultry Festival Queen’s Court. Reigning Queen, Madelynn Hutchins, spoke to the young ladies summarizing her experience of 2016 and gave them some insight as to what to expect. Each candidate introduced themselves, their Escort and their parent prior to enjoying dinner together catered by The BBQ Joint.

The upcoming schedule and pageant rules and guidelines were reviewed. The Queen’s Court program has a month long schedule of events including a Social and Masquerade Ball as part of the enrichment program for the candidates and their escorts prior to the scholarship pageant. There are representatives from all the Shelby County High Schools in the 2017 Court.

The Coronation will be held Saturday, September 30 at 6:00 p.m. at the Center High School Cafetorium when the Queen candidates will be presented to Shelby County.  Reserved tickets must be purchased in advance by contacting the Chamber at info@shelbycountychamber.com or calling 936.598.3682. The Queen’s Court committee led by Chairman Caroline Corbell, includes, Jesse Wiggins, Shanell Ruiz, Kay Fairchild and Sharisse McAdams.
