Fillies Face Setback at Home Against Hot Shooting Apaches

January 17, 2019 - An inability to connect on the defensive end proved to be a game changer for the Fillies, who fell to Tyler College 68-87 Wednesday night in Carthage. Despite a 10 point lead in the first quarter, the Fillies struggled defensively throughout the rest of the game. On the offensive end, turnovers seemed to be the difference maker.

Panola was led in scoring by Masha Adashchyk, who scored 22 points on 10-12 shooting. Two more players, Alicja Falkowska and Weronika Nowakowska, finished in double figures. Nowakowska contributed 12 points, including a perfect 3-3 from the three-point line. Falkowska contributed 10 of her own, along with 7 rebounds.

With this loss, the Fillies move to 8-8 on the season and 4-2 in conference. They hit the road to Bossier Parish on Saturday for a 2PM matchup against the Cavaliers.
