October 2, 2018 (Event Flyer) - The United Way of Nacogdoches will be hosting a training session for Shelby County residents to provide information regarding the services and opportunities available with the agency. The United Way would like to become more visible and impact residents, communities and organizations within Shelby County.
The volunteer training program is Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5:30 to 8pm at the Tri-County Community Action Agency located at 214 Nacogdoches Street, Room #3 in Center. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Become a United Way Volunteer Ambassador! Nacogdoches Area United Way seeks to develop a strong volunteer network for effective community impact through trained volunteers. Topics include building relationships, understanding the "bigger picture," addressing needs, positive communication, ethical issues, setting boundaries, how to empower people, understanding behavior, leadership/volunteers, and volunteer opportunities.
