Hank and Patsy Come to Nacogdoches to Benefit VFW Post 3893

November 9, 2017 - Hank and Patsy, the lives and music of country's first superstars, starring award-winning vocalists Jake Penrod and Bridgette Huffhines comes to the Nacogdoches High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit Nacogdoches VFW Post 3893.

The concert features more than 40 songs and a narrative depicting the life stories of Hank Williams and Patsy Cline. Williams died at age-29 and Patsy Cline was killed in a tragic plane crash in Tennessee at age-30. Both had major roles in transforming what was known as "hillbilly" music into a genre’ which is now recognized throughout the world.

Mr. Penrod, a native of Brownsboro, Texas, is proficient on fourteen instruments and has written more than 250 songs. He was named 2017 Honky Tonk Male Vocalist of the Year at the annual Ameripolitan Awards in Austin and 2016 Pure Country Male Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists.

Bridgett Huffhines, of West, Texas, began singing at age-six. Her parents were musicians and her father was also a songwriter. She has received numerous awards for her vocals and for her songwriting.

Seating is General Admission and tickets are priced $25 advance and $30 at the door.
