A heat advisory is in effect from Noon until 7 PM CDT Wednesday for Northwest and Northern Louisiana and portions of deep East Texas and portions of Southern Arkansas, Union, Caddo, bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Lincoln, De Soto, Red River, Bienville, Jackson, Ouachita, Sabine, Natchitoches, Winn, Grant,  Caldwell, La Salle, Shelby, San Augustine, including the cities of EI

Dorado, Shreveport, Bossier City, Minden, Springhill, Homer, Haynesville, Ruston, Farmerville, Bernice, Mansfield, Stonewall, Logansport, Coushatta, Martin, Arcadia, Ringgold, Gibsland, Jonesboro, Monroe, Many, Zwolle, Pieasant Hill, Natchitoches, Winnfield, Colfax, Montgomery, Dry Prong, Ciarks, Grayson, Columbia, Jena, Midway, OIIa, Center, San Augustine, Hemphill, Pineland.

A heat advisory in effect from Noon to 7pm CDT Wednesday. The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a heat advisory which is in effect from noon to 7pm CDT Wednesday.

Hot temperatures and elevated relative humidity values will combine to result in heat Index values Between 105 and 110 degrees on Wednesday.

The hottest portion of Wednesday will be Between Noon and the Early evening hours.

Heat related illnesses are possible. Caution is recommended for those who will be outdoors and for Persons without air conditioned residences.

Take Extra precautions if you work or spend Time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to Early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear Light weight and loose Fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.

To reduce Risk during outdoor work, the occupational safety and Health administration recommends scheduling frequent Rest Breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a Cool and shaded Location. Heat stroke is an emergency, Call 9 1 1.

A heat advisory Means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and High humidity will Combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, Stay in an air-conditioned room, Stay out of the Sun, and Check up on relatives and neighbors.
