July 18, 2016 - As we look at our nation what we find is people looking, judging and concluding a person to be something simply by what they are on the outside. For example if someone is white they are racist. If someone is a cop they have the intent to kill or harass other races. The devil has been successful to fill peoples hearts with hatred and animosity simply over a persons skin color.
What we need to do is be more like God and look at the persons heart and not their outward appearance. God said, “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart” (1 Sam. 16:7). Just prior to this verse in vs. 6 Samuel had concluded that Eliab was the one, but he concluded wrong as we read in vs. 7. And just like Samuel there is a whole lot of wrong conclusions being made today simply by a persons outward appearance.
Judgments and conclusions must be made on the fruit of a persons actions just like Jesus said, the tree will be known by its fruit (Matt. 7:16-18). And that fruit is an indicator of the heart as Jesus also said (Matt. 7:21).
Not until people love their neighbor as themselves (Matt. 22:39). Treat others the way you want to be treated (Matt. 7:12). Leave vengeance to the Lord (Rm. 12:17,19). Draw near to God (Jm. 4:7-8). And begin to judge incidents by a persons actions as Jesus said (Matt. 7:16-21) not much is going to change. And the devil is sitting back have a big old laugh as we hate and kill each other simply over a persons outward appearance. With such nonsense, we are not a nation under God, but a nation under Satan!
