September 25, 2017 - Only 10 days left until the 41st Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, sponsored by Farmers State Bank, opens its gates to a weekend of fun, entertainment, arts and crafts and lots of food!
The Cutting of the Feathers will be held on Thursday, October 5th at 10am on the Frances Oates Center Stage! Children from all over the County will keep us entertained for the rest of the day! Look for the rest of the weekend entertainment activities in future updates.
The 5K Chicken Trot and Fun Run, Sponsored by Cline’s Family Medicine and 936 Crossfit will be held on Saturday morning, October 7, at the Windham Civic Center. Fun Run starts at 7:00am and the Trot starts at 7:30am.
The 2017 East Texas Poultry Festival Queen will be crowned on September 30th at 6pm at Center High School. There are 14 lovely young ladies participating in the pageant activities, representing all Shelby County Schools. They are escorted by 14 nice young men. The Queen and her court shall reign over the festival.
So mark your calendars for October 5th, 6th and 7th. See you at the festival!!
