Joaquin FFA Show Team Earn Top Honors at Livestock Shows in Canton, TX

December 12, 2014 - Members of Joaquin FFA’s Show Team exhibited their cattle at two jackpot livestock shows held at the Van Zandt County Fairgrounds hosted by the Van Zandt County 4-H and Martins Mill FFA.

Abi Hooper’s Beefmaster heifers won Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion, at the MM Show. At the VZ show, the older won Reserve Grand Champion, and the younger won 1st Place in her class.

Abi’s Shorthorn won Grand Champion at the MM show and 2nd Place in her class in the VZ show. Abi also won Intermediate Showmanship Champion, for ages 12-15 years old.

Cralon Hughes’s Brangus won Grand Champion at the VZ show, and she won 1st Place in her class at the second show.

Trey Harvey showed both and Angus and Red Angus at the first show. His young Angus heifer won Grand Champion at the VZ show. His Red Anguses won 1st and 2nd in their classes.

Lauren Neal’s youngest Limousin heifer won Grand Champion. Her older Limousin won 1st Place in class at the Martins Mill Show.

Miranda Prnka’s Limousin won 2nd Place in her class at the Martins Mill show.

They are looking forward to showing this weekend, December 13, at the Timpson Ag Boosters Show here in Center. On January 3rd, the Joaquin AgBacker Show will be held in Carthage the the Panola County Exposition Center.
