October 4, 2017 - Joaquin High School teacher, Kathy Cockrell is participating in the “Adopt a Classroom” project designed to match local teachers with teachers whose classrooms were affected by Hurricane Harvey. She is paired with a 9th grade English classroom at Klein High School near Houston, Texas.
At this point their greatest need is for grades 7-12 library books. Joaquin High School will hold a book drive to collect new and gently used books and/or money to purchase new books. We will have a donation bin set up at the JHS Homecoming game on September 29 or donations can be dropped off at the high school office before October 6th.
