Joaquin PTO Announces Costume Contest Winners, Thanks Supporters

November 5, 2015 - Joaquin PTO hosted their annual trunk or treat, costume contest, and silent auction on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. A good time was had by all that attended. Our silent auction was a huge success and each grade that participated earned $475.

Thank you to our winning bidders; Whitton Wood Works, HLH Timber, Natalie Oswalt, Subway, and Bridgette Rogers.

The costume contest was held in the auditorium. There were 5 different age groups this year and the top 4 in each group were selected by judges: Jimmy Hamilton, Lynn Silvey, and Tam Hearnsberger and are pictured below.

Trunk or Treat was held following the contest in the bus lane. Thank you to our teachers and community members that came out and dressed up, decorated and passed out candy.

We also had our BBQ plates fundraisers at this time. The proceeds from those plate sales will benefit the general PTO fund and be used as needed for school requests.

Thank you to our donators that helped with the cost of those supplies and cooking. (Sherriff Blackwell, Subway, Big Zach’s, Brookshire’s, Ram House Café, Rancho Grande, Manuela Shuemaker, and numerous parents) The PTO would like to express our appreciation to each person that had a hand in making this night successful.

If you would like to help with future PTO events, please go to our Facebook page, Joaquin PTO and send us our information!
