April 17, 2017 - Jacob Griffin, a young Joaquin cowboy, won two saddles and several belt buckles recently to add to the family trophy room.
Griffin won the all around saddle for his age group at the Pineywoods Youth Rodeo Association in March along with first place buckles in cloverleaf barrels, straightaway barrels, and pole bending.
A couple of weeks ago, he captured the 6-under all around champion saddle at the CTYRA Finals in McGregor, TX and was also awarded buckles in pole bending, goat ribbon pulling, and barrel racing.
Jacob enjoys roping, baseball, hunting, fishing, and especially operating logging and farm equipment.
