May 9, 2018 - Three area constables recently working together were able to locate and arrest a Joaquin woman being sought on Shelby County Sheriff's Department warrants.
According to Roy Cheatwood, Shelby County Constable Precinct 3, he received information on the whereabouts of Brittany Barber, 30. Constable Cheatwood went to the location with Jamie Hagler, Shelby County Constable Precinct 2, who arrested Barber while being assisted by Zach Warr, Constable Precinct 1. Shelby County Sheriff's Department Deputy Michael Griffin also assisted at the scene.
The Shelby County Jail log shows Barber was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, felony 3; and abandoning/endangering a child, state jail felony.
Constable Cheatwood expresses appreciation to all officers and agencies assisting in this arrest.
