Lady Tiger Soccer Notches Hallmark Win Over Rival Center

January 11, 2019 - Over the ten year history of Tenaha Soccer the Lady Tigers had never beaten 4A Center. Ten years ago, the Lady Tigers made history as the first Class A soccer team in Texas High School history. And yesterday, history was made once again with the “Shelby County Girls’ Soccer Championship” win over the 4A Roughriders.

With the soccer season barely underway, the girls’ soccer team has several wins in their column. They have defeated New Summerfield, 2-1, Gladewater 3-2, and Center 2-1 in penalty kicks. The Lady Tiger’s only loss was to 3A Waskom, 4-0.

They will be playing Carthage Saturday morning, January 12th, in the Waskom Tournament and if they take the win they will play for the championship. Coach Lauri Sisk and Lady Tigers’ Soccer team is off to a great start for the 2019 soccer season.
