Mt. Gillion Scene of Car Fire

January 10, 2018 - Center firemen were dispatched to a car fire in the Mt. Gillion Community at 2:30pm January 4, 2018.

According to the Center Fire Department a silver Honda Accord driven by Gregory Bryan was southbound on State Highway 87 North in the Mt. Gillion Community when he had some sort of mechanical issue.

Firemen were dispatched to the scene when the vehicle began to go up in flames. The fire appeared to originate under the hood of the vehicle and was possibly electrical in nature. A fuel line had also ruptured beneath the vehicle and burned the back seat of the Honda.

The firemen were able to extinguish the vehicle before it completely burned. A definitive cause was not known at the time of the incident. The firemen returned to the station at 3:15pm.
