Nacogdoches Street Scene of Two-Vehicle Collision

March 8, 2017 - Nacogdoches Street in Center was the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 2:45pm Wednesday, March 8, 2017 which resulted in major damage to both vehicles involved.

When Center Police Department officers arrived ACE EMS was on scene evaluating those involved in the crash. It appeared a black Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck driven by Matthew Wood, 31, of Center was pulling a trailer and was exiting Wulf Creek subdivision.

A silver Ford Focus SE driven by Jamarcus Patton, 29, of Center was westbound on Nacogdoches Street and collided with the front driver's side of the truck, which failed to yield right of way.

Wood, Patton and his passenger Tom Bush, 57, were not reported to have received injuries as a result of the crash and each refused treatment from ACE EMS. No citations were issued at the time of the incident. Center Police Officer Andrew Williams investigated the crash assisted by Center Police Officer Steve Thornburgh.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The vehicle was pushed from the roadway to prevent another collision from occurring before it was towed from the scene.
