Panola College Rodeo Team Performs

October 6, 2016 - The Panola College Rodeo will be traveling to Uvalde for the Southwest Texas Jr. College Rodeo this Friday and Saturday.  After a 2nd and 3rd place finish for the Men/Women teams at our on Rodeo two weeks ago the Panola Team is ready to get going again.

The women's team was led by Taylor Gooch who won the goats tying at the Panola Rodeo with an incredible 6.6 sec. run.

The Men's team had many contribute to the second place finish with Bailey Plasier winning the bareback and Travis Chapman and Ethan Andrepont coming in 3rd and 4th in Bareback.  Fulton Rutland, a CNFR qualifier last year, took second in the bullriding but will be sitting this one out with a fractured elbow that took place at the Panola Rodeo,  Logan Cook contributed with points in the Team Roping as he and his partner qualified for team points.  Sophomore, Caleb Cogbill finished up the points for the Panola team with a 5th place finish in the steerwrestling.

All of these, except Fulton, and other Panola team mates will be up this weekend in Uvalde and wish them a safe trip to and from and luck at the rodeo!

Go Panola!
