May 14, 2018 - Shelby County was the scene of a fatal crash early Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Patroon Community involving a Cleburne woman.
Firemen from the Shelbyville Volunteer Fire Department and Huxley Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene, where they assisted.
According to to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas DPS Trooper Brent Murray investigated a one-vehicle crash on County Road 2798 about 10 miles south of Center.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 2am, a 2000 Ford pickup was traveling south on CR 2798 when the pickup drove off the roadway and rolled over; ejecting the driver.
The driver is identified as Yvette Stamps, 19, from Cleburne, TX. Stamps was pronounced deceased at the scene by Marla Denby, Shelby County Justice of the Peace Precinct 2.
This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
