June 8, 2018 - A new member ribbon cutting was held Thursday, June 7, 2018 for Pup N Sudz, owned by Shanna Carlton. Community members as well as Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors were on hand to help celebrate the business.
Andy Foster, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador President, welcomed Carlton to the chamber on behalf of the ambassadors and board of directors and offered the assistance of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce.
Carlton provided some history of her business explaining she opened its doors in 2010 and has been at her location on State Highway 87 for 7 1/2 years. She offers boarding and grooming, as well as a variety of products to serve pet owners needs. She talked about her staff at the location.
"I have mama here, Joanne, that helps me bathe and she does my nail trimming," said Carlton. "So we're slowly growing into the staff part of it."
She also mentioned she has an additional groomer currently in training.
Ruby Everett has been a customer for years and she shared her experiences with the business.
"I was one of Shana's first customers, over the years I've had six dogs, right now I only have four," said Everett. "Shana has been a life saver and I don't know what me and my little family of dogs would do without her."
Pup N Sudz is located at 397 Moffett Drive, Center, Texas and they are open Tuesday through Friday from 8am until 5pm.
