October 27, 2017 - (Photos by Shelby County Today: Album) - The Center Roughriders lost 10-9 following being down 5-2 after doubles October 24, 2017.
The team made a great comeback and very proud of their singles play. Center went 7-5 in singles but the margin was just too great after doubles.
Spring Hill has a State Champion and State Qualifier in boys and girls at the top but it takes more than just the top players to win as a team.
After being down 2-5, the next four singles matches on would come out 1-3 to make it 3-8 in the team total but then we pulled out the next four singles matches to make it 7-8 with four singles matches remaining.
Spring Hill won the first match and with three matches remaining, Center would have to win all three. We pulled out two of them to make it 9-9 with one match remaining and Spring Hill would pull it out in a close one.
