San Augustine Main Street Program Invites You to Exhibit Your Artwork

March 1, 2016 - The City of San Augustine Main Street Program invites artists to submit two or three dimensional artworks to be exhibited during the 2nd Annual “A Texas Treasure Heritage Festival”, Saturday, May 7, 2016, on the historic Courthouse Square, downtown San Augustine.  All works submitted must reflect the Exhibit’s overall theme; Western, Native American, historical, focusing on Texas and East Texas in particular.  This Exhibit is open to mixed media works (painting, photography, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, etc.). The City and event organizers reserve the right to decline any works that are deemed not in compliance with the theme and/or inappropriate for this family event.

The event organizers will take all precautions to protect work submitted for this Exhibit; however, the artist assumes all risks for any damage or loss.  The works should be “stabilized” (i.e., framed, matted or mounted on matte board, as applicable, etc.).  All work submitted must be the original work of the artist.  Be sure that your name and contact info accompany each piece and, if applicable, the title of the work, and the price if the work is offered for sale.  Sales will be completed only through the interested buyer contacting the artist to consummate the sale.

All works should be mailed or delivered (between 9 AM and 4 PM) to the San Augustine County Chamber of Commerce’s office at 611 W. Columbia St., San Augustine, TX 75972 (phone 936-275-3610) no later than Wednesday, May 4th.   Works are to be picked up at the Chamber office beginning Tuesday, May 10 thru Friday, May 13.
