San Augustine Rural WSC Boil Water Notice (Rescinded)

January 24, 2017 - The water on San Augutine Rural WSC no longer requires boiling. On January 20, 2017 we issued a boil water notice due to a mechanical problem at the plant. This included all customers who were formerly on Bland Lake Water Supply. This was issued for safety precautions.

The problem has been corrected and we've tested the water. The tests were good, therefore, the boiul water notice is lifted.

Our system has taken the necessary actions to be sure of adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate the water no longer requires boiling as of January 24, 2017.

January 20, 2017 - Due to a mechanical problem at the plant, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requires our water system, San Augustine Rural
Water Supply 2030007 to notify the customers of the need to boil their water prior to consumption.

This includes all customers who were formerly on the Bland Lake Water Supply. To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two (2) minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue
boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.

If you have any questions concerning this matter, you may contact San Augustine Water Supply at 936-288-0489.
