October 5, 2015 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas invites the friends and family of Sara Samford Jackson to join with them Saturday, October 10, at 12:30 PM at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Center. The Chapter will honor her with a memorial service and the placement of a DRT memorial medallion on her tombstone. She was born April 23, 1927 and passed away on March 3, 2015. She was a charter member of the Chapter and a descendant of Jesse Thomas Scruggs, a defender of the Republic of Texas. Come celebrate her life and her heritage with us.
