February 9, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 14th day of February, 2024 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:

1. Approve the minutes of January 3, 2024 Special meeting, January 10, 2024 Regular meeting, January 17, 2024 Special meeting, January 24, 2024 Special meeting, January 31, 2024 Special meeting of the Shelby County Commissioner’s Court.
2. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
 
3. Approve and pay current Payroll.
 
4. Approve Officers Report.
 
5. Public comments on Agenda item.
 
6. Constable Taylor Fanguy to update court on new Tahoe purchase status.
 
7. Review and approve revised Investment Policy for Shelby County.
 
8. Adopt Resolution of Annual Review of Investment Policy for Shelby County.
 
9. Adopt Resolution to designate County Investment Officer
 
10. Acknowledge and record County Treasurer Certificate of Compliance with County Treasurer Continuing Education for 2023
 
11. Acknowledge and record County Treasurer Certificate of Compliance with Continuing Education for County Investment Officer for 2023.
 
12. Discuss and possibly approve the Purchase of a 2014 Shop Built Tank Trailer for Road and Bridge Pct 2 being paid out of paid from Fixed Assets.
 
13. Discuss and approve FY2024 Line-Item transfer for the Emergency Watershed Protection Program payment.
 
14. Record Racial Profiling for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
 
15. Eric Garrett, President of Paxton Water Cooperation to give update on Jackson Well Project.
 
EXECUTIVE SESSION
16. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.
 
17. Reopen public meeting.
 
18. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in Executive Session.
 
19. Adjourn.
