October 20, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 25th day of October, 2023 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Approve and pay current Payroll.
4. Discuss and possibly approve the replacement of fluorescent light fixtures with LED fixtures for all lighting located within the County Courthouse.
5. Discuss and possibly approve Office Lease for Agreement for Constable and Justice of the Peace Pct. 5.
6. Discuss and approve inmate Per Diem for inmate housing.
7. Discuss and possibly approve Center ISD to utilize the vacant lot adjacent to the Shelby County College Center to stage building materials during the construction of CISD’s new gymnasium.
8. Discuss and possibly approve purchasing (4) additional sets of election equipment from ES&S with ARPA funds to support all elections in Shelby County.
9. Review, discuss and possibly approve payment for final expenses to complete the Jackson well. The total for these items is $16,200.57. These items include:
a. Assemble well head and tie into the plant – 5C Utility - $2,500.00
b. Parts for the well head – Rural Pipe & Plumbing Supply - $7,711.57
c. Chain link fencing and gate (required by TCEQ) – Non-Typical Oilfield Services, LLC - $5,685.00
d. Gutter system – Brian Letchworth - $304.00
