November 3, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 8th day of November, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
Executive Session
1. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.
2. Reopen public meeting.
3. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in Executive Session.
4. Approve the minutes of October 4, 2023 Special meeting, October 11, 2023 Regular meeting, October 18, 2023 Special meeting, October 25, 2023 Special meeting, October 25 Public Workshop, of the Shelby County Commissioner’s Court.
5. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
6. Approve and pay current Payroll.
7. Approve Officers Report.
8. Public comments on Agenda item.
9. County Treasurer is requesting to open an account with Sam’s Club in order to buy the supplies for the vending machine as well as other supplies for the county.
10. Discuss and possibly increase the allowance for the cremation of a deceased Pauper from $750.00 to $1000.00.
11. Discuss and possibly approve amending the donation of sick leave in Personnel Policy.
12. Discuss and possibly approve the purchase of a Tahoe for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, this purchase will be to replace a vehicle that was totaled by the insurance company.
13. Discuss and possibly approve the purchase of the Watchguard System for the Sheriffs office to be put into the new Tahoe.
14. Take action to approve the FY2023 Budget Line-Item Transfers and Budget Amendments.
15. Discuss FY2023 Cash Carryforward and take action to amend PCT 1 Road & Bridge FY2024 budget.
16. Discuss FY2023 Cash Carryforward and take action to amend PCT 2 Road & Bridge FY2024 budget.
17. Discuss FY2023 Cash Carryforward and take action to amend PCT 3 Road & Bridge FY2024 budget.
18. Discuss FY2023 Cash Carryforward and take action to amend PCT 4 Road & Bridge FY2024 budget.
