August 18, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 23rd day of August, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Discuss and consider the Declaration and Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning.
4. Discuss and possibly approve an asset transfer between Commissioner Precinct 3 and Commissioner Precinct 1.
5. Discuss and possibly approve the Agreement between Shelby County and Cornerstone Construction for the construction of the Precinct 3 Maintenance Facility.
6. Adopt County Holiday’s for 2024.
7. Announce the 2023-24 Proposed Budget that was filed on Thursday, August 8, 2023 for public inspection in the County Clerk’s office as required by Local Government Code, Sect. 111.006.
8. Discuss 2023 proposed tax rate, take record vote and schedule the Public Hearing.
9. Adjourn.
