November 9, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 15th day of November, 2023 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Discuss and possibly approve amending the donation of sick leave in Personnel Policy.
4. Discuss and possibly approve the proposal for historic preservation planning services with HRTC Services for the preparation of a Master Plan for the 1883 (1885) Shelby County Historical Courthouse and the 1883 Shelby County Historical Jail.
5. Discuss and take action on Road & Bridge PCT 4 FY2024 Budget Line-Item Transfers.
6. Discuss and possibly take action on the Sheriff’s Office outstanding invoices to Motorola Solutions.
7. Sheriff’s office to request allowing multiple persons to fill part-time deputy spot with the total hours not to exceed 60 hours within a pay period.
Executive Session
8. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.
9. Reopen public meeting.
10. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in Executive Session.
11. Adjourn.
