September 25, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 29th day of September, 2023 at 9am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Approve and pay current Payroll.
4. Open and Accept bids on road maintenance materials for Shelby County.
5. Discuss and consider the Declaration and Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning.
6. Discuss and approve starting pay for new employees as of Oct 1st 2023.
7. Take action to disburse the Child Safety Fee Fund.
8. Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Donna Hughes to request Security System at her office.
9. Discuss and allow payment of invoices and zero any encumberments for year end.
10. Take care of any other year end matters.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
11. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.
12. Reopen public meeting.
13. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in Executive Session.
14. Adjourn.
