SFASU Recreation Center Hosting CAMP G3, Youth Grief Camp

February 21, 2017 (Flyer, Application) - Hospice of East Texas and SFASU Recreation Center have partnered once again! We are proud to announce that CAMP 3G, a one-day camp for children grieving the loss of a loved one, will return this spring!

The camp will be held at SFA Recreation April 8 from 9 to 3 (time may vary slightly). It is open to children ages 5 to 12 who have lost a loved one in the last year.

Campers will spend a day alternating between team/trust building activities and clinically focused grief activities. This is an opportunity for children to openly express feelings of grief, receive support from peers and trained staff, and learn healthy coping skills to continue their grief journey. At the end of the day clinical staff will meet with parents/guardians to provide support and answer questions.

Please fill out an application and return it to Anna Donihoo at the Nacogdoches Hospice of East Texas Shop (1012 North St, Nacogdoches, TX 75961) by March 27. Families will be notified of acceptance by April 3. The cost of this camp is FREE. Space is limited, so apply today!

For questions about the camp please contact Anna Donihoo at (903) 941-6316 or the HOET Bereavement Department at (903) 266-3400, ext 127. You may also send emails to adonihoo@hospiceofeasttexas.org.
