Shelby County Commissioners’ Court Notice of Regular Meeting, March 13 Agenda

March 8, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 13th day of March, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:

1. Approve the minutes of February 7, 2024 Special meeting, February 14, 2024 Regular meeting, February 21, 2024 Special meeting, February 28, 2024 Special meeting, of the Shelby County Commissioner’s Court.

2. Approve and pay weekly expenses.

3. Approve and pay current Payroll.

4. Approve Officers Report.

5. Public comments on Agenda item.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
6. An Executive Session will also be held to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the governmental body in negotiations with a third person. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Sec. 551.072

7. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.

8. Reopen public meeting.

9. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in Executive Session.

10. Discuss and possibly approve Commissioner Pct. 1 to purchase sand from Darin Borders for the Pugmill.

11. Discuss and possibly purchase a license at a yearly cost of $3000.00 for the Guardify Program for storage and access to forensic interviews performed at the CAC for the benefit of the District Attorney and District Courts.

12. Discuss the compensation for the temporary custodian and set a pay rate and requirements.

13. Discuss and possibly allow the Indigent Health Coordinator to move to a part-time position and set the rate of pay.

14. Discuss and possibly allow the County Judge to hire an Administrative Assistant and set the rate of pay.

15. Adjourn.
