February 23, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 28th day of February, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Approve current Payroll.
4. Joe Szewczyk with TAC to discuss with Commissioner’s Court about the services he can provide at no cost to the County.
5. Discuss and possibly move forward with fixing the JP 1 parking lot.
6. Discuss and possibly approve an Interlocal with the Department of Public Safety for the Failure to Appear Program.
7. Open, review, and possibly award the RFP for the renovation of the 2nd floor community room.
8. Commissioner Pct. 4, Tom Bellmyer to discuss the purchase and financing of a truck as authorized under Local Government Code 262.0225, subsection D and Local Government Code 262.0245.
9. Discuss and possibly approve additional and emergency lighting for the County Courthouse that was not included in the original quote.
10. Update on and possibly pay the invoice for the Emergency Watershed Project, between the Natural Resources Conservation Services and Shelby County.
11. Record Racial Profiling Report for Shelby County Constable Pct 1.
12. Record Racial Profiling Report for Shelby County Constable Pct 2.
13. Record Racial Profiling Report for Shelby County Constable Pct 5.
