May 20, 2016 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioner's Court will be held on the 23rd day of May, 2016 at 9:30 am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay monthly expenses.
2. Public Comments on Agenda items.
3. Kim Bartel, Community Liaison, Region 5 Prevention Resource Center, requested the opportunity to introduce the work of this agency.
4. Consider and possibly adopt the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance describing the requirements and duties of our membership in the National Flood Insurance Program.
5. Ann Blackwell, County Treasurer, has completed all required training for her position.
6. Shelby County applied for a portion of the 2015 Unclaimed Capital Credits. The state allocated these funds last May to the County. Discuss and approve disbursement of these funds.
